Overview
When the network works nobody thinks about it. When it does not, everything looks broken at once: servers, storage, telephony and cloud access. So we treat the network as the first infrastructure layer, not as equipment that gets replaced when it ages out.
Most enterprise networks were not designed — they grew. One more switch here, a temporary link that stayed, and after a few years nobody knows for certain what is connected to what. The work starts by mapping what is actually there, and only then designing what should replace it.

ILS Networks is an official partner of Arista Networks, Cisco, Dell and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, and additionally deploys and supports Aruba equipment. The vendor is chosen from the actual environment — site size, availability requirements, existing equipment and budget — not from a fixed product shelf.
The core is the layer all site traffic passes through — it has to be fast, redundant, and simple enough to maintain. The campus network is what connects users and equipment to that core. They are designed together: an excellent core sitting above an access layer that grew piece by piece over years will not deliver what it promised.
Yes. A large share of the work is staged upgrades of live networks rather than greenfield builds. Work is planned around maintenance windows with a defined way back at each stage, so the site keeps running throughout.
MLAG lets equipment connect to two core switches at once, so losing one switch does not disconnect what is attached to it. At Galmarine we built an Arista backbone in MLAG configuration for exactly that reason — redundancy in the layer that has no room for a single point of failure.
