WHO WE ARE
The company, and how it got here
ILS Networks was founded in 2009 by Alex Rosenberg. Vasily, our senior infrastructure engineer, has been here since the first day — which is not a biographical detail: some of the environments we maintain today were built by the same people who still maintain them.
We have since grown into a company that runs every layer of an organization’s infrastructure — servers and virtualization, network and information security, backup and continuity, and the day-to-day operation. The way that happened repeats with almost every client: it starts with one layer, and over time we are asked to take responsibility for another, until the whole estate is run in one place.
The work is engineering by character. Every environment begins with understanding what is already there and what the organization actually needs, and proceeds in controlled stages, with testing and rollback points. A production environment is not a place to gamble, and not a place to try out a new product.
