ILS Networks designed and built the enterprise core network for Prigat on Arista switches — the backbone carrying all site traffic — and in parallel migrated the virtualization environment to Proxmox.
OVERVIEW
Prigat needed central communications infrastructure for the site and, at the same time, a move of its virtualization environment onto a more flexible platform. The two needs touched each other, so they were designed and built together rather than as two separate projects.
ILS designed and built an Arista-based core switching fabric as the central communications infrastructure of the site, and migrated the workloads to Proxmox alongside it.
The site needed a core network able to carry all enterprise traffic as one defined layer, rather than a structure that had grown piece by piece over time. In parallel, the question of the virtualization platform and the way forward was on the table.
Core network: Arista switches deployed as the enterprise backbone — the central communications layer carrying site traffic.
Switching: a core switching fabric built as the central communications infrastructure of the site.
Virtualization: migration of the virtualization environment to Proxmox.
Network and compute were designed and built as one system, so the virtualization migration ran on top of a defined core network rather than alongside an unsettled change in the layer beneath it.
